saint-julien Space in laval (53) / Competition 2013

The Saint-Julien Space is a cultural venue dedicated to creation, education and interaction between artistic practices. It is therefore a question of giving back to this building an organization of the spaces which responds, by its flexibility and its openings, to this stake of a plural place. It is therefore appropriate to find a correctness in the interventions to take into account the existing, make the site attractive and turned to the city to make it appropriable by all.

Our desire to open this place to the city by bringing a new urban and landscape vocabulary to link the different spaces and accompany visitors is one of the keys to this change.

Our project allows to make a transplant between the emblematic places, an existing landscape heritage and a new writing which is source of links and generator of new uses.
