jacobins MUSEUM IN morlaix (29) / delivery expected for 2022

The Jacobins museum is steeped in the Morlaix city history. By the construction qualities, the Jacobins site is a major element of the city architectural heritage. Its profound restructuring will help to preserve its memory and, by its new uses, to give it a new life.

The architectural project proposes a soft and controlled mutation, but nevertheless visible, and helps to organize the site with coherence and sensitivity. The garden landscaping on the east wing courtyard offers a wooded stratum of seven fastidious hornbeams (Carpinus betulus ‘fastigiata’), aligned with the building architectural layout. The low vegetation is composed of mixed undergrowth species, alternating mainly persistent ferns and other deciduous plants, as well as perennial plants with spring and summer flowers.
