Palaiseau Conservatory (91) / delivery expected in 2021

More than a building this is a land modeling that is proposed. The existing spirit of an open island heart is preserved. Patio and vegetated terraces follow one another framed by the two linear roofs of the preserved buildings.

The forecourt acts here as a large mineral esplanade accompanying pedestrians from Stalingrad Avenue to the Conservatory. On the forecourt, some slabs are removed in favor of grasses and perennials massive that fit into the calepinage frame. These plant lines will be more and more diffuse as we approach the conservatory entrance to leave room for a mineral forecourt, thus facilitating the circulation fluidity. Below the public passage, halfway between the two streets, the central patio becomes the heart of the cultural center. It connects the different entities of the program and offers views on the activities that surround it. A canopy made up of ten ground planted trees brings shade and a generous green setting.
