hunting lodge in sologne, france
The new overall layout of the main residence surroundings from the pool and hunting lodge gives the place a feeling of unity between the interiors and the exteriors. The Agency Christophe Gautrand & Associates made sure to restore the functional uses of these spaces by highlighting the swimming pool and its surroundings and the terrace with all the comfort necessary for its privileged use.
The main residence, the guardian's house, the hunting lodge, the stables and the kennel are arranged in a half-moon shape. The visual perspectives of the place being important, we deliberately widened the optical breakthroughs towards the ponds and the surrounding meadows.
Our reflection on the landscape of this hunting complex led us to accentuate the natural geometry of the place. A circle with a 360 ° view links living spaces with natural areas made up of forests and meadows.
zoom on gardens
An alternation of landscapes of vines, pines and rhododendrons undergrowth, bamboo garden near the swimming pool and the wild garden in the vicinity of the residence harmoniously shapes the spaces.
USE & PERSPECTIVE
The terraces landscaping near the buildings allows to appreciate the visual breakthroughs towards the Solognots ponds. On these spaces we enjoy an open air lunch break, a reading moment or a nap on a deckchair. The view from the terraces, like a canvas, depicts a succession of meadows and needle grasses lines o create an optical illusion.
