CHAMPAGNE HOUSE

RUINART

REIMS

In the heart of the Champagne region, in the city of Reims, lies the famous Ruinart champagne house, which entrusted us with the task of transforming and designing all the outdoor spaces of its remarkable estate at 4 rue des Crayères in Reims.

"Making the invisible visible" was our guiding principle. This project does not simply modernize a historic site; it seeks to reveal the very soul of the Maison Ruinart, integrating its geological, artistic and natural elements, while remaining firmly rooted in its cultural heritage.

Three axes guided our approach: Reveal, Explore, and Experiment to create the following spaces:

  • Le Chemin des Crayères: This unique scenographic tour immerses visitors in the fascinating underground world of Ruinart, with galleries inspired by UNESCO World Heritage-listed crayères.

  • Le Jardin des Artistes: A sanctuary dedicated to contemporary art, where works interact with nature, creating an immersive and deeply poetic experience.

  • The Cour d'Honneur: A majestic space where vegetation and architecture meet, with flowerbeds evoking the rolling hills of Champagne.

  • Les Terrasses du bar à champagne dans une Forêt Anthropique: A haven of peace integrated into a freely evolving forest, a symbol of biodiversity and resilience in the face of climate challenges.

Every detail of the development has been designed to minimize the environmental footprint, with a focus on preserving natural resources.

This project embodies not only Maison Ruinart's glorious past, but also its forward-looking vision, where the harmony between nature, art and architecture creates a timeless bond.
